DESCRIPTION: Parker Clock Co., Meriden, Conn, , C.1890, "No. 11" desk timepiece, 1-day, in a well made cast brass case, a trinket tray at bottom, and the clock hanging from 2 chains.
CONDITION: there were originally finished with a gold wash which is now rubbed mostly to brass. However this clock is otherwise in excellent original condition, with good ivorene dial bearing the Parker trademark. Rear winding key and set stem are built in and still intact. Hands are original. Like most of Parker's small clocks, this one uses his reliable #1 movement. Details on this model can be found in Ly's book titled "American Clocks", page 190, fig 667. Price guide for 2001 = $475.
